Knitting lace pattern with scheme and conventional signs.

Lace patterns are intended for knitting of female products, and only special group of patterns with the impressive strips located on a cloth on a diagonal is pertinent to apply in men's wear.

For openwork products it is very important to choose the yarn correctly: it should be of high quality, equal, not too dark. The pattern knitted from such a yarn, is looked through very well and has more effective, accurate view. As for the thickness of threads, it can be the most different –  from very thin for summer and elegant clothes to thick for sweaters, pullovers, sports jackets.

Making a lace pattern on needles you should follow the principle that to each aperture received with the help of the yarn over and meaning the increase of a stitch, should correspond the decrease of a stitch. The order of the arrangement of apertures and decreases of the stitches leads to appearance of a ready pattern which can look differently than on the symbolical scheme. Therefore it is important to knit the stitches in the row according to their designations, not paying attention to the previous and subsequent rows of the scheme.

In the charts of lace patterns they often use empty checks to which also it is not necessary to pay attention. They do not participate in the creation of a pattern and serve only for more evident image of the scheme.
