Filet crochet.
The basis of filet patterns is a filet net which represents alternation of crochets and chain stitches. The most widespread net is such a net in which a double crochet and 1 or 2 chain stitches. So the pattern is formed at the expense of filling of separate empty checks with the crochets.
Filet patterns are used for crocheting of various products of house use: napkins, cloths, curtains, coverlets. Summer blouses, jackets, shawls are often crocheted with a filet net.
